EF Child Safeguarding Policy

EF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in its care. The responsibility for this rests with every teacher, staff member, parent and individual who comes in contact with children.

EF meets this commitment through the following principles:

  1. Students are listened to, respected and valued;

  2. Criminal background checks from the relevant country are completed for all new employees during the recruitment process;

  3. Safe and study-friendly space practices as outlined in EF’s Workplace Health and Safety Policy are implemented at all centers, and during all online lessons;

  4. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) security cameras are installed in every classroom and lessons are live-streamed;

  5. Child protection, safety and good practice training sessions are conducted with all teachers and staff;

  6. Any concerns about a child’s safety and/or welfare are investigated fairly, thoroughly and in a timely manner.

EF reviews its Safeguarding Policy regularly.
