Simon started teaching English in Fukuyama, Japan, in 2004. He moved to China in 2006, working for EF in Yuyao, Wuhan and Shanghai. At EF he previously worked as a teacher, senior teacher, DOS (in 3 different schools) and Regional Production Manager, and has Cert.TESOL, Dip.TESOL, IDLTM qualifications, as well as an MA in Language Teaching. During his teaching career he has taught all ages from 3 to 65, been a judge on Hubei Province’s Star of Outlook speech contest and once taught a class of over 1000 students. As TRT's Senior Certifications Trainer, Simon supported candidates in Shanghai and across China with achieving their CertTESOL and DipTESOL qualifications. Now back in the UK, Simon continues to support EF teacher development as TRT's Distance Learning Trainer. Outside of work he does a lot of reading, and likes to eat good food and play with his two sons.
