This course is for EF staff who are:

In a role which requires them to deliver training to other staff or interested in moving into a training role in the future

Interested in learning new techniques and theories about training and development

At the end of this course, learners will be able to

  • describe the theory of training and adult learning

  • outline the role of the trainer

  • conduct a training needs analysis

  • design and deliver a short training programme

  • design an online training programme

  • design assessments to measure learners’ progress

  • evaluate the effectiveness of their training programme and revise it based on feedback

During the course, learners will

  • carry out a training needs analysis on a group of teachers

  • choose a topic to deliver a training session on

  • design and deliver the training session

  • evaluate their session and their own strengths and areas for development as a trainer

  • engage is self and peer assessment
