Lampung is a city, located on the southern tip of Sumatra. Nature is the name of the game for this small city, with forested national parks, fine sand beaches and rolling hills all within a short drive. It is surrounded by several nature preserves that offer hiking, bird-watching and wildlife viewing. The mountainous, rainforested Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park is home to endangered species such as elephants and Sumatran tigers.
