We have a training library of 30 videos available for teachers to use at any time online. From "Better Board Work" to "Good & Bad TTT (Teacher Talk Time)," there are plenty of topics to explore that encourage teacher development. These short videos encourage better classroom practices and ensure that you're constantly working towards being the best teacher you can possibly be.
This is a great way to keep track of your progress. Teachers are encouraged to journal anytime they want, although this is not required. Some topics include recording a recent success in class, reflecting on an incident or mistake, and general lesson ideas.
During this teacher development task, find a colleague who you’d like to observe or be observed by. Discuss with your colleague what you want aspect of the lesson you want to observe. Watch the lesson or part of it and have a chat afterwards. Afterwards, record what you learned in your Development Diary. Not sure how to observe and give good feedback? We have a video for that in our online library.
Practice Lesson Plans
In addition to our videos, we have full training sessions for you to practice better teacher skills before stepping in front of students. For each lesson, there is a video for you to watch before you go to a session. There is a session plan to help your trainer facilitate the session. Finally, there is a task for you to follow up on what they had learned. Sample sessions include how to give instruction checking questions, context setting and tips for wrapping up lessons.
