The Phoenix City

There are many beautiful parks in the city and larger scenic areas like the Great Wall are close by. Other sites like the Jingjue Temple, Thousand Buddha Mountains and South Lake Park are worth exploring.

Cinemas, restaurants, spas, bowling alleys, football fields, badminton courts & gyms are all available. In addition, there are many bars and KTV parlors for people to relax and spend free time. The restaurant scene is varied with everything from traditional Chinese dining rooms to western fast food.

Why Tangshan?

Tangshan is known as “Phoenix City” because of the powerful sense of community and strength after an earthquake occurred 50 years ago. Since then, the city has completely rebuilt itself into a tourist destination using its natural beauty and lengthy history as focus points

Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the US, worked in the nearby Kailuan mine before ascending the White House. His office has been replicated in a museum on-site

A really popular venue is Little London, a western-style bar which serves great food to expats who frequent here
