EF TEACHER REFERRAL PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

For any current and onboarding EF English First staff member.

To refer an International Teacher In China or from Overseas you must use your EF email and a reminder that the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, teaching experience (preferred but not required), a clear criminal background check and a passport from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.

Referral Bonus on rehire will NOT be valid if they have left EF within 1 year.

Due to a huge volume of leads, we are no longer accepting South African referrals
 

  1. Should your referral lead to a new full-time hire, EF will give you a referral bonus (paid with your monthly salary and taxed) as follows:

    • 3,000 RMB bonus amount for those who refer friends Already in China after they successfully passed probation

    • 2,000 RMB bonus amount for those who refer friends Outside of China after they successfully pass probation

    • Payment is subject to local tax.

  2. Both the referral and the person who made the referral must still be EF employees at the time of the bonus payment for it to be received.

  3. If the arrival in China occurs after the payroll cut-off for that month, payment will be made the following month.

  4. Only one bonus will be awarded per referral. The payment cannot be split among multiple persons.

  5. In the event that multiple staff members refer the same candidate, the first submitted through an acceptable referral route is used.

  6. To be valid, all referrals must be entered through https://ef.english1.cn/refer-a-friend prior to the candidate interviewing with EF, or if sent via email to the recruitment team. You must input your EF email address if the referral is from EF!

  7. The person submitting the referral will not be eligible for the bonus if they will directly manage or will be directly involved in the hiring process for the candidate.

  8. Referrals will only be paid for full-time salaried hires working within China schools.
