EF founder Bertil Hult funds the global Hult Prize in partnership with The Clinton Global Initiative. The HULT Prize encourages students from all over the world to find solutions to the world’s biggest challenges. Every year President Bill Clinton awards the winning team $1,000,000, as well as mentoring and support. The prize is to help the winning team implement their innovative ideas and solution
EF Education First was first chosen to be the Official Supplier of Language Programs at the Seoul Games in 1988. Since then the partnership has flourished. EF has been the Official Language Provider in Beijing, Sochi and most recently Rio in 2016. Today, our Olympic committee is working hard to continue our Olympic success. In 2018, EF will be the Official Education Services Sponsor at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics with the aim of training 200,000 students and teachers. As well as being the Official Partner of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
EF collaborates with some of the world’s top universities in order to foster the development of language learning as well as understand future possibilities. Currently, EF is working with Cambridge University, Harvard University and Peking University. Research is currently investigating big data and developing personalised second language acquisition. As well as how to make English language learning more effective for non-native English speakers. These partnerships ensure that EF is at the forefront of change. More importantly, this research is shaping learning for future generations.
